LEADERSHIP
Katie Bond,
Co-owner/Chief Executive Officer
Katie's story in healthcare spans more than 15 years — and it all started in physical therapy.
She joined an outpatient physical therapy startup early in her career and quickly became one of the key people behind its growth. She built and led sales teams from the ground up, developed the marketing and brand strategies that shaped how the company showed up, and personally drove the revenue growth that made expansion possible. Ultimately, helping scale the company from a handful of clinics to hundreds across multiple states.
From there, Katie took her expertise across healthcare — ophthalmology, podiatry, primary care, and senior care — leading startups from concept to opening day and bringing the same energy to established practices that needed a fresh direction. She has a rare ability to see both the big picture and the details that make or break a patient experience.
Opal is the practice she's always wanted to build — clinically excellent, intentionally grown, and genuinely fun to be part of. Because Katie has always believed that the best patient experiences start with a team that loves what they do. And now, alongside her partner Laura, she's finally taking that vision from dream to reality.
Outside of work, Katie is busy raising three kiddos with her husband Eric. When we’re not cheering from the sidelines of a sports field or braving the cold at the ice rink, you'll most likely find our crew out on the Magothy River.

Rachel Walker,
Biller
Rachel has been part of the physical therapy industry for more than 10 years. What began as a physical therapy technician role quickly grew into opportunities in front office operations and eventually leadership, where she oversaw front office teams for a large private equity-owned physical therapy organization.
While Rachel has gained experience across many areas of practice operations, her passion has always been medical billing. She enjoys the intricacies of the billing process and loves solving complex challenges—approaching each claim like a puzzle, one piece at a time. Driven by her commitment to excellence and continuous learning, Rachel is currently pursuing her Revenue Cycle Management Certification at the University of Cincinnati to further expand her expertise.
When she's not working, Rachel can be found riding trails and getting muddy in a side-by-side with her husband, enjoying her time out on the water or spending quality time with her pups.
